The Day of Caring has made a tremendous impact on our children and our facility. The children enjoy having the volunteers come and take them to the park. The volunteers have activities planned and prepared for the children. For example, games, exercise, arts and craft, and just plain old fun on the equipment.
Many groups joined Barrett Early Learning Center last year and performed a variety of duties. One group painted a mural on our storage building. It brightened up our playground. What a face lift when another group pulled our old chain linked fence up!
It is a delight to participate in the Day of Caring. I am ready for the 2009 event!!
